When 3.9 is released will we need to replace all maps we used for 3.8?

Most if not all the maps will be compatable with 3.9,there maybe some you may have to re-download and also maybe a new map or 2  Wink in any case a map pack will be released!

When time comes to upgrade just cut and paste your NAW folder to desktop then rename it anything you want too . Then install the new 3.9 and maps if you need any of the old maps just copy them to your new levels folder in 3.9.

UN-install old mod naw 3.8.
this will leave your current maps in levels folder.
install mod 3.9 (members only version has no maps)
(public version will have map pack 4 included)
install map packs 1,2,3 and 4(see above)

this will be explained better when everything is packaged
Finlay OK guys.

your done.

Dis-information abounds here........ N.A.W Official Map Packs 2 and 3 will have to be installed for 3.9 content, These will be released any moment. Map Pack 1 is unchanged from 3.8 and compatible with 3.9... There is no Map Pack 4, all Map Packs have been distributed in 3 Packs. (Seaside Raceway v1 is unchanged from 3.8, but was stuck into Map Pack 2 to even out file size)

Here is the following content for the NAW Official Map Packs...

MAP PACK 1 (693mb) [Unchanged from 3.8]

Cat Island v3
Daqing Oilfields v3
Desert Rats v6
FuShe Pass v5
Island Hopper v4

Operation Yellow Dragon v2
Sharqi Peninsula v4
Strike at Karkand v4
Village Lost v4
Vulcan Island_v2
Wacky Races v2
Zatar Wetlands v6

MAP PACK 2 (617mb) [3.9 Content]

Aerial Combat v2
Desert Storm v5
Dragon Valley v6
Battle at Easting v1
Gazala v2  [lite version] looks the same but 60lbs lighter
Gulf of Aqaba v1
Market Garden v2 [bad version] fix on front page
Road Warrior v2
Seaside Raceway v1
Songhua Stalemate v6
Steel Thunder v3
TV Land v2

MAP PACK 3 (538mb) [3.9 Content]

Bridge v1
Bocage 2005 v1
Desert Rats II v2
Dalian Plant II v1
Ginkakuji Siege v1

That's a lot of maps Smiley  So would it be best to uninstall all of my 3.8 maps and then install each map pack, or just overwrite whatever is the same file.

Can't wait to try out the new stuff.  Thanks.

I would uninstall all your old stuff....the mod & map installers  place uninstall paths to your add/remove list as well as your start>all programs> NAW Mod folder.

It's gonna look messy if you don't uninstall them first.
