Widescreen support

Can someone help me set NAW to run at 1680 x 1050? The workaround I use for BF2 doesn't work for me or i am not entering it correctly. i am anxious to try this mod out!!!

you can't run widescreen as far as i am aware.

This allws widescreen to work quite well I am running the res below on my 37 in LCD. The key to make it work was the 2nd step.

This is what the desktop shortcut properties should look like:

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1920 +szy 1080 +modPath mods/naw

Where I have 1920 and 1080 set the res you want.

THEN got into your BF2 profiles and delete the video.con file it will reset and should work just fine. Yu can add the same changes to your BF2 Shortcut and it will work for that also.

Most of the site that had this left out the 2nd step give it a try and let me know. 

however all it does is stretch the game window to that resolution, and gives it lower quality.

i have the same problem on my 1440x900 laptop - with everything on ultra high (only high now thanks to 1.3 ) the graphics look pants compared to my pc.

they should release the game in widescreen (wider view angles etc)

Yeah EA dropped the ball and continues to do so:(  I am using a wide laptop as well but when at home its hooked to the big monitor. But atleast the change gets rid of the black side bars and the higher res on the big screen make sit easier to play form the big stuffed chari and have my Dickel and Coke nearby. LOL I still suk but I look pretty good dying hehe.

HMM I have no code skills but would it be possible to add the WS support to the NAW mod? I have read somewhere there is a FOV setting I just am not sure where to find it.
