The following article was in today's Vancouver Sun (12JUL06).

http://www.canada.com/vancouversun/columnists/story.html?id=1914e36c-cf3f-4a9c-9883-6555d08677f7&p=1

This is a major invasion of personal privacy.  If I lived in Canada and was a customer of Bell Sympatico, I would be cancelling my account today and be looking for another provider of internet services.

This should be a wake up call for everyone who cares about personal privacy and free speech.

While some people will say, "That's OK, I don't have anything to hide.", what's to say that a site you feel is harmless might be considered subversive by the people that are monitoring you.

This is just another example of the erosion of all of our personal freedoms and the slow but steady march toward Big Brother.

Yeah its an absolute disgrace!!!
The war on terrorism...Just a blanket term to further control the masses.
privacy is a civil liberty and should be protected at all costs.if i walked into the canadian premiers office uninvited or the Us presidents office i would be arrested for tresspass and god knows what else.these people have no right to our personal information. They will be able to know who is "with us or against us" to coin a bush phrase and that may be as little as disagreeing with their politics.this information can be used in so many ways.these operations are a HUGE net to catch nothing Angry
