Is it me or does the Vulcan heat up way to fast?I love the handling of both aircraft just wish the gun didnt heat up this quick. What do you guys think?

Also,I looked around the site for different skins used on the A10 but didnt find any of the Shark mouth paint jobs.Is it possible to add something like this?

dude, in RL they can do a burst of one, maybe two secs maximum..
(This guns recoil is stronger than the thrust of the engines..)

In the game the burst is more than enough to kill light armors/ choppers enemy planes with it

That and its not a shark painted on the front its a warthog hence its nickname the A-10 WartHog lol

The Fairchild-Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II is a single-seat, twin-engine jet aircraft designed to provide close air support (CAS) of ground forces by attacking tanks, armored vehicles, and other ground targets. As a secondary mission, it provides airborne forward air control, guiding other attack aircraft against ground targets. It is the first US Air Force aircraft designed exclusively for close air support (CAS) of ground forces. The official nickname comes from the P-47 Thunderbolt of World War II, a plane that was particularly effective at the CAS mission. However, it is more commonly known as Warthog or simply Hog. In the USAF inventory, the same airframe is also designated OA-10 when used primarily in a forward air control role.

I realize the pic I posted is that of a havolina(Warthog).I searched the forums for the typical "shark" paint scheme and didnt find anything other than the paint on the Cobra, which is badass.I just used that pic as a reference to what I had in mind and thought it was cool.

The gun on the a10 over heats due to the fact that we wanted and air craft SOLEY for ground support. When the burst where longer these aircraft started being used for air to air combat and totally offset what we were trying to accomplish. They, as in real life, arent ment for air to air combat, and as assasin pointed out, they are a forward ground support aircraft. The guns will put a hurt on a TANK if you get lined up right but we had to control it.

I was never a Warthog driver--Buffs and Bones--but I know quite a few...it is an air-to-mud jet and an easy kill for an air-to-air jet like the F-15/F-16CJ (if they can slow down enough--LOL!).  N@W's developers made the right choice to keep it an airborne threat to armor.

The A-10 is armed with a 30 mm GAU-8/A Gatling gun. It fires depleted uranium (DU) armor-piercing shells at a rate of 4000 rounds per minute or 50-70 rounds a second.  It carries 1,350 rounds of ammo.  Let's do the math:  Warthog drivers have less than about 27 seconds of ammo.  The GAU-8/A's "rated" recoil is stronger than the engines' thrust, but aircraft has pre-programmed burst settings to keep the gun from overheating with a link to engines to adjust for the recoil.
