submarine - firing missiles?how?

i wonder if anyone can tell me how to fire missiles in submarine?

you need to make sure the sub is on the surface in order to fire the nukes, otherwise you blow up. and if i remember rightly, you need tobe in persition 2

i have the same problem.i cant get it to fire i keep blowing up.i tried go a deep as possible and fire but it exploded when it hit the surface.
