Hi, cannot install newest patch 5.01 - i downloaded it twice for sure, tried install 3 times (had to uninstal NAW before ofc), but patching still freeze. It always freeze at patching file Objects_client.zip - task manager writes "Not responding" and cpu usage is all the time at 100% - it takes vpatch.exe*32.
Have Windows XP Proffessional X64, BF2 patched to last version and i patching from NAW version 5.0.
Is there any way to patch game without patcher?

Well thats exact - if you wanna try reinstall you have to uninstal whole mod, for next try. And game crash here too. So i play with version 5.0, most maps will work, but at some game crash (think different version between patched server and nonpatched client) |

Ok i figured it out. Just did a fresh reinstal and the patch hung again, but i just let it be and after about 10 minutes it un hung and is working fine now.   http://img409.imageshack.us/my.php?image=wtf2gp7.jpg |

I'm having the same issue as vlask. I'm also running XP64 pro. A manual package would be useful to me as well. |

Is there any chance of a 5.01 patch that will run with XP64? I wouldn't care how hard it would be to install by hand. It couldn't be any harder than uninstalling and reinstalling N@W 5.0 and the patch over a dozen times like I've done trying to find a way to make it work with XP64. I even reinstalled BF2 and redownloaded EVERYTHING just to eliminate the possibility of corrupted files. I tried running the patch in XP compatibility and setting the affinity to 1 CPU core. I brought ALL of my drivers up-to-date and defragged. I've tried everything there is to try, even waited 2 hours to see if the patch would unhang after reaching 2 bars in the progress meter. I am so impressed with the MOD and am eager to be able to play it again. The map packs look SWEET! I have been pushing this mod very heavily among teammates and friends. I would prefer not to try and "survive" playing on our 5.01 server running only the 5.0 patch client-side - it'd be harder to admin without being able to stay connected for every map. I cannot put into words how much I would appreciate any help! |
