Try setting BF2 to run on only one core....

Start Bf2 > Alt + Tab > Ctrl + Alt + Del > Task Manager > Right Click On Bf2.exe in the process tab > Set Affinity > Uncheck CPU 0

then load the map up and see what happens Wink

The problem is your system...not the MOD.

With those specs it should play like butter.

lol...it's very important for us to know what keyboard, mouse and speakers you have. Wink

I just researched your video card, I thought it was a top range ATI card.

Dude, you have a $65 video card and you're trying to run the most resource hungry map ever made for BF2....on high.

if it was a bug, then everyone would have that exact problem. This is not the case. I'm sorry, this is just a hardware issue not being able to lift a very heavy map. Don't feel bad about it, the BF2 engine is not a well optimized engine and a lot of people run into problems with Gazala.

it's actually great value for money, you get a whole lot of bang for the buck! To be able to play most BF2 maps on high for that amount of money is great value.

I would further add that Vista is still not very game friendly.  Lots of folks continue to run into various little bugs that don't effect XP users.

Well personally I'm an Nvidia fan.  So you already have a strike against you in my book Wink  You are going to have to lower your settings and get rid of Vista (jk Wink )

ATIs were good cards...I ran a 9600XT for the longest time.  It was a good card.  But I've had a 7600GT and now have a 7950GT nVidia.  Both have been rock solid stable for me and I've not seen anything ATI that has come close.  I want an nVidia 8800 series card now. Wink for those soon to be coming DX10 games Smiley

Wow, half a page of specs and you get the most important one wrong!...LOL Cheesy ...there's sometimes a big difference omitting a "Pro" or X

Actually your wrong....if you look at my link in my second post (green) you will see a non Pro for $65 at NewEgg..

in fact to make it worse....check this NewEgg link http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2000380048%20106790809%201068310557&bop=And&Order=PRICE

you will see that 512mb Pros start at $65 ...and go to $150 ... at first glance most of them have near enough the same specs...cept the core processor run from 500mhz to 600mhz....yet the $65 one has 600mhz.

BestBuy is not the "Best" place to "Buy" video cards.
