Crashes before i even start playing =/

hey i'm new to this mod stuff for BF2 so i might have did something wrong, but i did follow every instruction i found on this forum. I download that 5.0 stand alone, that 5.1 patch, the map packs also. I installed them in it's order and i was so amped to try it out and clicked that 'Play nations at war' icon. It showed a BF big box icon thingy like original version then my screen turned black, blue sometimes, then crashed to desktop. I seen many crash issues when playing singleplayer but i can't even get the game started...

Did you install the BF2 1.41 patch?

I think he's asking a bit too much of that laptop   

BF2 BY ITSELF runs just OK on 1024MB Ram....and it doesn't say what video card???
