yes...you need a copy of BF2 to use this mod.  BF2 can be purchased now in many places for $19.99

BF2 Complete collection is a bitch. i cant work it out how to activate my packs, so just be warned [either that or im stupid]

I had a friend that had problems with this...he called their Technical support and they got him straightened out just fine.

I and most of the other =ACES= guys did not purchase the full versions of BF2 since we play this mod and everything is already in it including the maps, the weapons, and vehicles... the reason you would want to spend the 20-40 for the complete collection would be is if you plan on playing online with those maps against the rest of the BF2 world.  If you like the mod, you'll never even bother playing the BF2 vanilla versions.
