CTD during game startup

The game crashes during startup.  I have installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled everything and nothing has worked yet.  I ran it in windowed mode and recieved the following error:

My friend installed this mod using the exact same NAW Client 5.0 and NAW 5.01 patch on his PC and it works.  His PC is nearly identical to mine except that his O/S is Vista Basic and his video card is an ATI.  Not sure what I need to do.

looks like a directx problem...could be your video card drivers or a dodgy directx file...try updating both and let me know how you get on.

Wow, that was an embarassingly simple solution.   I updated my video card driver and now it works.
