frustrating problem please help

please can someone help me when i try to start the game after the auto config screen i used to get a error message saying something about a shader or something but after i installed patch 1.41 now the message doesnt come up but just returns my screen to windows after the auto config screen can someone please help, ive downloaded all the pathces, updated video card drivers, directx driver so what can it be? please help

yea hi, umm i think i had the same problem but i couldnt install my 5.01 patch that N@W told me 2. Anyway i gave up a long time ago because i was really frustrated and i envy those people that can actually play this awesome mod!! Sorry cant help
