Since joining NATO, the Czech Military is currently updating all of it's arms to comply with NATO standards including the use of 5.56mm ammunition. 
The Czech military has placed orders for several new weapons including M4s from Belgium and the US, Steyr AUGs from Austria, and several others including some indigenously developed small arms.  The Model 58 that you show is still in use, often by border patrol/border guards, police, and non-military personnel requiring somewhat heavier weaponry than pistols.

I´am from Czech Republic and I´am in czech army (paratrooper)... Special Forces are using 5.56 ( M4 Bushmaster), but other czech armed forces use Model 58 (7.62)... In few years we´ll use new czech weapon http://www.army.cz/images/id_8001_9000/8240/01.jpg i forgot name... we heve ONLY M4 Bushmaster ( Special Forces) and Model 58 ( other)... Thanks for the info Williams_cz, I'm half Czech, my father is Czech by birth (from Zlin) and was a UK Paratrooper (3rd Battalion Parachute Regiment). As you might have guessed we are not a Reality Mod, so don't take our weapons mistake to seriously  ...We hope you enjoy the MOD.
