Politics - Reality vs the Game

Hi all,
 
I just decided to join your Forum so that I could say what a great job I think you're doing with your mod "Nation at War".
 
My congratulations on your excellent War Game.
 
So far, I have seen 77 different maps which are all amazing. I love the submarine, the new cars, the motorbikes, the quads, jets, choppers, and so on.
 
The graphics are outstanding !
You have made the movements really lifelike, really easy, just like bf2.
The only thing that I think you could improve is the medic reviving technique which is really not lifelike at all.
 
I think we all play at this type of game as a way to relax, to enjoy ourselves, to escape from reality for a while. So one thing I have to say is, Why mix politics with the game ?
 
Why even mention "Iranian terrorists" or "Syrian terrorists" ? Why even associate Iran or Syria with terrorism, when in reality, a "terrorist" is a person who could be from any place in the world, not only an Arab country. Why not talk about an Irish I.R.A. "Terrorist" or a Spanish E.T.A. terrorist ? Terrorists are from everywhere and from nowhere. Terrorists do not have a country, they do not have a home. The are individuals who decide to fight for a personal cause without authorisation or recognition from a government.

There are different types of terrorists, illegal and also legal who do the same but in the "name" of their country. What are they? Terrorists or soldiers ? Why is the USA bringing "democracy" to Afghanistan, Iraq etc. whilst the Afghans and Iraqis are classed as "Rebels" for fighting back against those who have invaded their country ? Why are the Israeli's " defending themselves" when they bomb complete villages whilst the Palestinians are "terrorists" when they fight back in some way ?

If we judge, we should first look at the issue from all sides and in all ways. However, most people are incapable of doing that and just let themselves be brainwashed by the media into thinking what they want us to think. Let's not do that here in our Game. Let's not contribute to making people associate "Iran" with "terrorism". Let's be fair !!!!!!!!
 
This a very controversial subject, especially in the present day climate, so let's all do away with politics and stereotypes. Let's make a game for World Peace. We players are from all over the world, from numerous walks of life, races, creeds, so let's make respect the most important aspect.
 
Let's make our game great ! Let's make it better than the Real World !!

You are right Braveheart. They should not be named "Iranian terrorists" or "Syrian terrorists" ...in our next MOD they will be named Al-Qaeda, Hezbollah, Taleban...etc.There will be no mention of terrorist. There is an old saying "One mans Terrorist is another mans Freedom Fighter" Although we don't condone the actions of Al-Qaeda, Hezbollah and the Taleban etc.

George Washington fought the British in a way that would be considered terrorism today. The British fought in a conventional way for the time, and they were no saints either.

thx Braveheart for this mension me too, i dont like syrian terrorist or an Iranian terrorist and thx PuckerFactor  4 your positive action to take this name away in the next mod but in my opinion i still dont agree with the new names cuz we want 2 forget the news problems, i suggest that you but U.A.E (united arab of emaret ) , egipt , jordan , qatar , more peace in this game NO NEWS Problem pls.

While I agree with everyone that taking a nationality terrorist our (Iranian, Syrian), I don't agree that the terrorist groups should be excluded.  Based on today's world stage and the fact that those groups have engaged in "terrorist" actions both within the countries they are located in and in the world.  Terrorist actions are those actions taken against non-combatants for political purposes. 
From this month's news, you can see that in Hezbollah and their actions in Lebanon.  They purposely attacked the recognized government's forces to prevent their own selfish loss of power.  Their power being the security director for the airport and their internal communications network.  Nasrallah publicly stated that his group would defy the government of Lebanon, thus those actions are terrorist.
Al Qa'ida is also a terrorist group.  Even among the Muslim governments of the world, the group is a terrorist pariah for its actions that are in violation of the Qu'ran. 
The Taliban are also recognized as terrorists.  Even when they were in charge of Afghanistan they were considered pariahs among Muslim governments who the Taliban considered apostates.  When the Taliban were in charge of Afghanistan, there were only two governments who recognized Afghanistan: Qatar and Pakistan.  Hell, the Taliban threatened to attack Pakistan and Iran because the Taliban considered them to be apostates.
So, I do agree with the nation-centric terrorists removals from the next mod, but group terrorists, no, I don't agree and I think those groups should be included.  There are many other terrorist groups in the world, the Siberian Liberation Union; The Uighar Nationalist Front; FARC; Sendero Luminoso; and a host of others.  It's an ugly world at times... and sometimes I wonder if it will get any better.

we do Mec collection team without this terrorists group . no Al Qa'ida no Siberian liberation ...etc


and only i would like to say something how recognize the terrorists ? the answer the same people thay kill in Iraq and Afghanistan under the name of the liberation or to get the Iraq Oil? for me George. W Bush and his  the biggest terrorists in the world under the cover of UN.
