Are there any Requirements for playing Nations at War besides having the Battlefield 2 CD? Because whenever I try playing Nations at War it seems to start out ok, with the Battlefield 2 picture but after that the screen turns black for a few seconds and then closes.

well... based on that, I would confirm that you got the proper size download... this is a common problem for users of Internet Explorer.
If the sizes are not exact, it won't load properly.

Thanks for the quick reply. The file is the exact same size as it says on the download page, 1.81 GB.

I use Mozilla Firefox, not Internet Explorer, but is there anything I can do to fix the problem?

NAW Client .exe size (on your PC): 1.81
NAW Map/s .exe size (on your PC): I didn't download any separate maps
BF2 version (in-game menu): 1.1.2551.0
Operating System: XP Professional sp2
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad
Memory: 2GB RAM, 500GB hard drive
Graphic Card: nVidia GeForce 8400GS 512mb
Graphic Card Driver Version: 60.86.4a.00.02 Video BIOS version
BF2 1.41 Patch installed: No
NAW 5.2 Patch installed: Yes
NAW 5.2 Map Pack 5 installed: No
Did you re-install everything correctly again?: Yes
Did you re-install your graphic drivers correctly again?: No

Description of problem: When I double click on the NAW shortcut the picture from BF2 comes up and after a few seconds the screen turns black. After about 10 seconds the game closes.

I have just downloaded the map pack 5 and most of the maps make the game crash. Is something wrong with map pack 5?

I'm thinking that the maps that come with the stand-alone exe and Map Pack 5 are fine right?....and all the other ones listed are probably crashing because you don't have them installed. They are showing up in your list because Map Pack 5 patches all previous map packs including the map.desc file for each map. That new patched map.desc file is what makes the map show-up in your map menu.

Every time you install a previous map pack...you will need to re-install Map-Pack 5 to patch it. Or install 1-4 ...then re-install 5 to patch them all at once.
