master sergent rank

Hi, Ive been playing all versions of bf2 including N.A.W, but on all versions i cant get past the rank of master - sergeant even though my score is still going up. do i have to join a clan to get a higher rank or am i doing something wrong somewhere

you may want to check the ranked server forums... which happen to be located at http://gamestats.ws  MasterX is likely to be able to answer you question.  I don't remember exactly what the Official Nations At War Server's requirements are for obtaining ranks above MSGT, but there are requirements and many people have joined the officer corps... Hell JoeSWO has gotten to BGEN in 6 months of playing. 
But Check out the gamestats.ws forums and perhaps get the requirements from there
