There has been a lot of discussions on the Battlefield forums regarding the Battlefield 2 Update (patch)1.50, so this is to let you all know what’s happening.
Update 1.50 is still in development, we (dice) have held back on releasing the update as we have become aware of and are taking preventative measures against 3rd party tools which have been severely affecting everyone’s playing experience recently by crashing dedicated servers, clients as well as allowing account spoofing. We (dice) hope you understand our decision to delay the release to resolve these issues rather than releasing early with a need to update again.
We (dice) are looking to release this update by Winter of this year.
If this patch comes out there will more than likely be a patch for nations at war, this unforeseen release could give us the opportunity to fix some issues that have come to light on the forums and test some previously unreleased content that didn't make the last release.

It appears that 1.5 will be released in early June, given that Dice seems to have allotted a month for public beta testing. In light of that, will NAW still be getting any love?

Can an admin from NAWMod.com please confirm if our NAW server is updated to v1.50 will it work or not?
I have not updated it yet because I want to make sure it will work. Think we would have some pissed off peeps....

At the moment we don't have a dedicated server to test our mod. We are currently on a slot server....however, the only problem so far that is creating game-play/sever problems in other mods is a tweak setting called
ObjectTemplate.ammo.magSize
DICE changed the maximum value to 1000 ...a lot of mods have certain vehicles/weapons ammo amount set above this, which in turn crashes the server when a player enters the vehicle. I've checked every tweak file on every vehicle in NAW and none is set over 900. So good news there.
I will continue to monitor any other problems that that come up from the MOD forums....it's early days right now....I would suggest that you wait a week or so to see if there are any problems.
I will create a thread here shortly for with more Patch 1.5 info

We at Malicious Mafia love the mod... We will wait to update the server to 1.50 until we hear more from you...
If you like I can get you a test server. All I would ask in return is a plug for the Malicious Mafia and my host Tellup Web Hosting Services...
