Upon reviewing the Top 150 I am wondering to myself with the release of BF2 Patch 1.5 would it not be a great time to reset the stats and just see whom is still active within this ranking system...

very simple minded if you ask me

I simply pointing out when new players visit the Top 150 all they see is the same players sitting on the TOP...
Lest YOU forget when you were new here???

Since this leader board has never been reset, how are we to attract NEW Players?

I did not make this post to "PI$$E" anyone off I am only suggesting an idea to attract new players to the ranking system

 you have a valid point wasnt saying you didnt....just alot of people would loose thier shit if they saw thier score gone.

I see both of your points on this. I due agree with you Foot52 on giving the opportunity for new players to get on the Top 150, but I would have to agree more with Cain on this. These scores are what players have earned. Resetting them would only piss off a lot of people and force them away from these ranked servers. Right now, everyone has a clear goal on what they need to do to get on the top 150. It would take some work, but it is achievable.

There might be another way to signify inactive players, like italicizing their name after 90 days, etc. This would highlight the players would be easily passed up. I know during the summer time, I would be in this category due to everything I'm involved with.

Curiosity - Has any other point systems do a reset on the points? 

On getting more new players involved with these mods, anybody got any good ideas on advertising???

We've been discussing this tonight...and so far we think it would be a good idea to reset them every 6 or 12 months. And as mentioned before...it would give newer players a chance to gain glory.

I would also be good to have a separate stat or icon to show previous Top 10-20 player.

"Inactive" Players would still take a spot on the Top 150

Reseting stats is a common practice among other Stats Systems
such as BOMSF and [TEAM] Nito just to mention two that I know of. 

The Stat System at Gamesstats has never been reset...

This would be the first time in its history that it will be totally reset.

We can keep an eye on it to see exactly how long the list gets filled up again and make adjustments on future resets, make a spot for Top Players listed on kind of TOP Players archive or such so your stats are never really lost.

Please post future replys here making this topic a bit easier to keep up with
