Startup problem

Hi. First I installed NAW 5.2, and then I tried to play it. when I start "Play Nations at War 5.2 Ranked", comes black screen, and then back to desktop. What's wrong? Then I tried Play Nations At War 5.2, it worked!!! But.. It doesnt find any servers!? What is wrong? I didn't install any map packs, because I though there comes some maps, and when I get bored with those I can istall map packs. So do I have to install map packs, or what should I do? Please tell me EXACTLY what to do, because I'm not very good with these things. I'd like to play NAW, so it's sad if this is gona end because this.

Judging from the info you posted  .... you need Map Pack 5. It updates all previous maps including the default maps in the mod installation....as well as adding new ones.

yes...install the map packs....make sure you install in order map pack 1 thru 5 ...map pack 5 has updates for the previous 4 map packs....also....when bringing up the server list make sure in you filters the the only thing checked is same mod and map sizes.also in the top right corner of the server list theres a drop down box that says conquest, co-op and all....make sure you select ALL.
I have also been having trouble finding servers on the list....try joining our server through the IP if the list doesnt show up for you 207.210.252.13:16567....... Also right now the offical NAW server is patched with the bf2 1.5 patch.
