Istalled the NAW core and the map packs, detected no problems in single player, but when started to play multiplayer mode, shuts down and starts BF2 regular and no NAW! Can anyone help?

who said you didnt need a patch? which patch are you talking about?
 try installing the NAW 5.2 then map packs 1 thru 5...make sure map pack 5 is the last one you install because it updates the other four. then try installing the BF2 1.5 patch
