Are the system requirements for NAW 6.0 much higher than BF2.  I have no problems running BF2 at the highest settings but I experience major slowdown with NAW.  Some detailed maps like Back to the Suribachi are unplayable.  I understand my machine is dated, especially the Pentium 4, but I have a decent graphics card and enough RAM.  I tried changing the settings to medium but I've been crashing to desktop when the maps are loading (around 65%).  I have no problems when the textures and terrain are set to high.  Any suggestions?  Are there any lower settings that will run the maps better without crashing to the desktop during loading?  I appreciate any help or comments.

Sorry to hear that you are having problems...some of the maps have been cranked with more ambient effects than regular BF2 e.g birds...fish...sounds...it shouldn't be the cause of your problems...however there is far more vehicles and equipment on a typical NAW map. Judging from your graphic card and memory...your system is good enough to run it at good frame rates. You can change any of the settings you want apart from textures.....don't go below medium for your texture settings.

Thank you.  I'll try lower the settings except textures.
