Please help me.

a lot of mods replace the python folder in bf2 default directory,
when i was beta testing 6.0 i noticed naw stopped working,

i fixed this by removing all mods apart from bf2 xpack and naw,
now i understand if if you don't want to try this and its only a suggestion,
and i am certainty not saying you cant play naw while you have other mods installed,
just have a look in battlefield 2 directory see if there is a backup of the python folder.

most peoples problems are caused by the following.

playing on a old computer that is just about capable of playing bf2,
how a mod works is as follows: when you start a mod it loads all of bf2's content, then the mods content,

video card is not good enough,

not enough memory.

bad download.

now understand this.

you are loading the following into systems memory from you hard drive:

battlefield 2
special forces
armored fury
euro forces
nations at war = which contains content from
battlefield 2
special forces
armored fury
euro forces
aix
us intervention
sureal
hardjustice
and numerous other content from other people.
64 maps that are 64 player size.

that's 8.72 gigs of data loading into system memory from your hard drive.
at the very minimum you need 3-4 gigs of ram and a grafix card that is at least a couple of yrs old but a newer one is better.

example: a good mate just bought a $150 card and he runs everything on high gets a little laggy on frostbite and gazalla mainly back to sabachi but is not unplayable.

example: a friend of mine, a great friend really has played naw with me since the first release.

when we started testing 6.0 he could not play it anymore why?

his system couldn't handle it naw had out grown the capabilities of his 5 yr + machine.

he used to run the mod with everything on low apart for textures and for 5 yrs he could play no problem, with a machine that was a old p4 with a gig or so of ram and some old crappy video card.

so he had to upgrade his machine.

so in short.

so basically if you have a crappy old pc buy a new one.

if you dont then another mod could be interfering with naw when its loading,

or you have a bad download.

last chance fix raise video settings in game to medium for texture's.

and of course make sure bf2 is patched to 1.5 as naw uses content from the patch as well...

sorry for the long post but im sick of all the posts regarding crashes like its our bloody fault when it really isn't........

Description of problem:
I also updated directX.
Mod ctd's in startup... I cant even get to see intro. No any error messages. Other mods works fine (AIX2.0 & FH2). Regular BF2 also works fine.

Could it be some kinda "python-problem"?

EDIT: GOT IT WORKING!  CHANGED MOTHERBOARD AND AGP X1950 TO PCIe GEFORCE 9600GT 512M. So it looks like problem was my old AGP graphic card!  Anyway, now it works Smiley

That's strange...your AGP X1950 should have been fine to run it.

Glad it's working for you though!
