  Hi all!

I just downloaded NAW 6.0 last night and have a quick question before I install. I would like to know if NAW will run with BF patched to just 1.41. I am only interested in playing single player and co-op over LAN with my 14 year old son. I set up both of our machines with 1.5 but after some issues we went back to 1.41. Right now we are perfectly stable and running AIX and Hard justice mods along with vanilla and its rock solid. I hesitate and cringe at the thought of wiping everything on both machines and starting over again when things are all good. Also, one of the download sites said requirements for this mod was 1.41. I just want to know if it will run and maybe just not have some features work or not even fire up at all on 1.41.

                                   Thanks!

Ya im new to i have 1.41 will it work cause this mod looks awesome and i have had too many problems with 1.5 and all i want to play on is single player and coop.  I would hate for it to not work because this is a big file and it took 1/2 an hour to download and i dont want it to not work.

Hi guys...welcome to the forum...you need to have the BF2 1.5 patch installed to run NAW 6.0

also...you might want to look at this thread if you are having Win7 problems with the 1.5 patch http://www.nawmod.com/forum/index.php/topic,4531.0.html the solution posted there may also fix other problems.

Just an update... Since I would have had to nuke my BF2 install and start over anyway, I installed NAW 6.0 into my BF2 1.41 and all is well. As I said, I am only interested in Single and co-op play over LAN so I think it will be good enough for my purposes. I installed it like this on 2 machines, my rig is running Vista 64 bit, my sons is running XP sp3. We hooked up on a couple of co-op sessions and it ran great. Good job to the NAW team, love the mod...lots of toys!

I've never had a patch give me problems, the main problem with computers and humans is the human/user mis-interprets the systems reaction to dif. programs. One word to keep in mind is
Compatability settings in propertys of the Shortcut Icon you are
trying to start a program with in win7
