Hey guys,

I am new here to NAW 6.0, but have had NAW in the past with 5.2.

At first, I installed just the client with no map packs, and no maps showed up. I thought that you didn't need the extra maps to run ANY maps. Do I?

Then, I downloaded all map packs. The maps were there, then the game would crash at textures. I tried lowering my textures and it didn't work. What is the BARE MINIMUM that I would need to do to play any of the NAW maps? Do you know why these problems occured?

Thanks man, I'll try it. But do I have to install any or all of the map packs to get ANY maps?

i would suggest installing all the current map packs.....but Im sure you could just install one or two to check it out. Also make sure you BF2 is up to date with the 1.5 patch.
Also....have you tried uninstalling NAW and downloading it again to make sure the download you got wasnt messed up

Well, I installed all map packs again, and re-installed the mod. It still crashes loading textures even with the fix. I even tried lowering my textures to low again. Nothing worked. I did notice that the map packs were a bit bigger than the thread said they were supposed to be. Not by much, is this normal? Is there anything else I should try?

thanks

Now, I took the advise to turn my textures to high again. I did, and now only some of the maps work such as Midway, Frostbite (Night only), and Wake Island to name a few (it does take longer for the game to crash now if at all). Is there some sort of pattern that the maps work in or is it just a matter of chance? ALSO: Was the F-22 that was in Midway and some other maps taken out or is it still in some maps? If at all, which one(s)?

Thanks

Okay, I tried everything that I could possibly think of, and nothing worked... Went to like the first thread on here and got the answer... waste of time but w/e.

Yeah, I mean I got the answers and every map to work, but I devoted a whole day to do it... Although, the game still crashes after 3 maps in constant rotation, but I can look past it. It was my fault, I could have just looked at the top of this forum to find it!
