I'm running a Linux dedicated server with version 6 of your mod and version 1.5 of BF2 and I can't get teams populated with the number of bots I want. NO matter what I do, all of the bots end up on just one team. For a 50/50 split (16 bots, 8 on each team), I've tried two ways:

1) setMaxNBots 16, sv.coopBotRatio 100, sv.coopBotCount 8

and

1) setMaxNBots 16, sv.coopBotRatio 50, sv.coopBotCount 16

But in both instances, all 16 bots end up on one team. Both of these methods worked for other mods. I've seen other users here post problems with bot ratios in this forum and the answer has always been a variation on the rather unhelpful "play with the settings". I have played with the settings and the settings in this mod are not doing anything or not acting like they're supposed to, or at least act in a manner unique to this mod that can not be easily discerned. Can somebody please just tell me how to get 8 bots per team?

I used to set the bot ratio at 120.
With the bots set at 32, that would give me 8 on the blue side and 24 on the red side.

Hey John, your original reply had exactly what I needed. Don't know why you deleted it with the edit. A mistake, maybe? Anyway, I don't have a readme file with my NAW server download. I never purposely delete readmes and I haven't had the mod installed all that long for me to have done it accidentally. Anybody know where I can get a copy without trying to download the whole server package again?

That also answers the mystery of why my server console always insisted that coopBotCount was set to 46 when my serversettings.con said otherwise.

Much thanks for your help. And if you could repaste the passage from the readme again, I'd appreciate it.

Here is a whole copy of the server readme.

Here is a rundown on configuring them in preparation for that time.

To adjust the number of bots on opposition, ensure the sv.coopbotratio setting is set to 100 in serversettings.con

now open gamelogicinit.con in the naw mod folder,

and adjust the sv.coopBotCount to the number of bots desired on the opposition team!

The total number of bots spawned is controllable in the mods/naw/ai/aidefault.ai file,

change the setting aiSettings.setMaxNBots to the total bots you want on the server up to 64.

the gamelogicinit.con file's sv.coopBotCount setting takes the designated number of bots from NATO and moves them to OPP!
