I installed BF2 retail, all 3 CD's, on this external HD, as well as AIX & NAW. I had some issues w/ screen resolution & neither BF2 or AIX launching, but fixed that by modifying video.con in C:\Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles to reflect 1024x768@60 instead of 1440x900@60. I patched BF2 to 1.41...all this was done to be able to use dpallunlocks to use all the kits in the various mods. However, NAW will not run. I cannot use any extra shortcut commands or BF2SPCC to help launch it. It just flickers a couple of shades of black screen, then returns to the desktop w/out opening.
Oddly enough, I had previously installed BF2 patched to 1.5x on that same external HD, same notebook, & copied over all the mods from my PC, including a ton of other mods. All launched & ran beautifully...Vanilla BF2, AIX 2.0, FFolkes's Unlocks123, BF2SPALL64, POE...except NAW. I could never get NAW to run. Yet NAW runs great on my PC running Windows XP SP3!
What is the deal w/ NAW & video/screen res? There has to be some coding in NAW that doesn't exist in these other mods, which I just haven't visited to change the 1440x900 res & refresh rate. Gotta be.
Please help. The guys on the BF2 single player site aren't able to help w/ this!
