Battlefield 2 DVD image…using Alcohol 120% (undetectable by BF2)

This works for the CD/DVD check only… and is not detectable as “Emulation Software” by BF2…it will NOT burn a perfect copy of BF2.
This doe’s not endorse pirating the BF2 game…It simply prevents your DVD drive from having to constantly scan the DVD…and keeps your original DVD in good condition. If you don’t own the game…go buy it.

SETUP

1. Uninstall any version of Alcohol 120% you have installed, then actually reboot like it says to, it you don’t it won't work.

2. Reinstall Alcohol 120%, but CHOOSE EXPERT MODE. If you don't, it won't work. It will give you TWO boxes at the next screen, they will both say something like "a560scsi" or something like that.

3. Change the 3-digit number on BOTH of these to 120 instead of the number that was there.

Eg. a120scsi

Then proceed with the install.

CREATING A IMAGE

1. Open Alcohol 120%...go to File>Options>Emulation>Extra Emulation …and make sure “BAD Sectors Emulation” is checked

2. Click on Image Making Wizard and go thru the steps….I left everything on default settings. Take note of where the image file is being created, I saved it on the same drive as the game.

3. When the image has been made, go to Windows Explorer, you should have an extra “virtual” CD drive.
Right-click on the Virtual Drive and select “Mount” …search for the “BF2 DVD.mds” file you just created (smaller file of 2). The BF2 install screen should appear once it’s mounted. Close it out. You are good to go now as BF2 will use this for the DVD check.

Here endeth the lesson

There are also ready made images that dont require a ton of hardrive space. All you have to do is mount the image on a virtual drive using Alcohol or Daemon Tools. The image can be found at www.gamecopyworld.com and I believe it is under 10 mb.

I guess Roman is out for a while.I really need the files 'cause my BF2 diskette#1 is almost to scratched up to work.If someone could send me the files to play without disk,I would be forever thankful.

Edit #2: I got it to work with Alcohol 120% and Anti-Blaxx.
