Go into Gamespy and login in to your account (same username and password for BF2)

https://www.gamespyid.com/subscription/manage.aspx

Once you are logged in click on "verify" or "unverified"

If it has "unverified" and you click it...Gamespy will send you an e-mail with a link to verify your account. Once you click on that e-mail verification link you can go back into Gamespy,  and change you name by clicking on "verify"


...as for stats, you will lose any stats you have, but you won't care about them because....STATS ARE FOR NOOBS!

The whole game is great but they just kill it when they dont allow you change your tags or anything. I think its plains tupid. Hopefully they will change this.

yesterday i was looking in my
C:\Documents and Settings\Name\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\0001

and then i went to profile.con i opened the file in notepad and it says

LocalProfile.setName "Dr.Game"
LocalProfile.setNick "Dr.Game"
LocalProfile.setGamespyNick "Dr.Game"

and some other stuff but what i am wondering is if i cant chand the Nick to something else i havent tried it yet cuz i dont want to screw up anything but if someone wants to try it go ahead and tell me what happens

So you cannot change you nickname or the 6 symbol clan tag? Or just the nickname?

you can change your prefix but not your nickname so you may have to open a new account just for torney and use your normal one when playing any other time

please make prefix C1B_Pv.N.A.W.Lazaros if you made new account then that is what it should be.
